Due to unforeseen circumstances, Burke Veterinary Clinic was temporarily closed to clients starting September 10, 2025, after our team experienced adverse reactions believed to be caused by an unknown irritant. We promptly closed the building to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, clients, and staff.
Following a thorough investigation, we were cleared to reopen last week with a modified schedule. However, after noticing similar reactions resurface, we made the difficult decision to implement alternative methods to continue serving our patients safely.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and your pets during this challenging time. We are cooperating fully with authorities as they work to identify and resolve the source of the irritant. We are also grateful for the support and cooperation of our neighboring businesses, whose camaraderie has been invaluable.
Please be assured that our commitment to providing compassionate care to you and your pets remains unwavering.
Until further notice, the following schedule will be in effect:
- Monday–Thursday: All three DVMs will conduct home visits from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. To ensure timely and efficient care, these visits will be limited to locations within approximately 20 minutes of the clinic. Our team will be reaching out to schedule visits accordingly.
- 8:00 AM–6:00 PM: A dedicated team will be available to answer calls and emails, assist with scheduling, and manage medication needs.

Outside of business hours, the best way to contact us is by email at burkevc@yourvetdoc.com. Messages are reviewed daily and answered as promptly as possible. Prescription refills remain available to ensure your pets continue receiving their medications without interruption.
We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this temporary closure. We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
